Adjacent water: The Goodwin Islands are located on the southern side of the York River, near the mouth of the River.
Landscape: The continuous monitoring station is locatedapproximately 400 meters from shore in an area of extensive beds ofsubmerged aquatic vegetation dominated by eelgrass (Zostera marina) and Widgeon grass (Ruppia maritime).
Monitoring Period: This CBNERR funded station was established in 1997. Since this date, data is available essentially year round at 15 minute intervals. Prior to 2006, data is available through the NOAA National Estuarine Research Reserve, Centralized Data Management Office website. Click here to access these data. This station remains active.
